Report: Bronx Nurse Pleads Guilty To Stealing Drugs From E.R.

NEW YORK (AP) -- A nurse has pleaded guilty to stealing medicinal cocaine and other drugs from the emergency room at a Bronx hospital.

The New York Post reports Allison Jones admitted Friday in Bronx Criminal Court that she got drugs including Oxycodone and other narcotic pain relievers on three occasions. The 34-year-old had her license suspended. Jones must undergo drug treatment and is on probation for three years.

She said she got the drugs from a secure medical-storage system by entering the name of a patient without the doctor's permission. The patient had been recently discharged.

Her attorney declined to comment.
