Westchester Teacher, 34, Accused Of Rape Of 16-Year-Old Boy

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - A teacher at a school for at-risk children has been accused of rape.

Meaghan White, 34, allegedly had two sexual encounters with a 16-year-old boy in her car at Wilson's Woods Park in Mount Vernon, Westchester Police said. The incidents took place between Nov. 10-Dec. 4, Westchester police said.

White was arrested at her Valley Cottage home early Thursday morning.

She has been charged with rape and committing a criminal sexual act.

White is a teacher at Leake & Watts residential facility in Yonkers. Leake & Watts says on its website it is focused on families coping with poverty, disabilities and a lack of access to education and basic services.

White will be arraigned in Mount Vernon City Court.
