Whiskers In Wonderland Returns With Holiday Pet Adoption Events In Manhattan

New York (CBSNewYork) New York City's largest pet adoption event of the holiday season returns this weekend with "Whiskers in Wonderland", presented by the Mayor's Alliance for NYC's Animals, in partnership with the Petco Foundation.

Whiskers In Wonderland features more than 300 loveable cats, kittens and rabbits just waiting to be welcomed into new homes for the holidays.  Adoptions take place Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. and Sunday from noon to 5:00 p.m. at the Petco locations in Union Square and Columbus Square at 805 Columbus Avenue at 98th Street.

Meet adoptable pets from thirty Alliance Participating Organizations including Animal Care & Control of NY, The Animal Project, Anjellicle Cats Rescue, Animal Rescue Fund of the Hamptons, ASPCA, Bideawee, Bronx Tails Cat Rescue, City Critters, Empty Cages Collective, For Animals, Kitty Kind, Liberty Humane Society, Posh Pets, Rabbit Rescue & Rehab, Sean Casey Animal Rescue, Social Tees Animal Rescue, Timber's Legacy, WaHi Cats, Zani's Furry Friends and more.  The application process and adoption fees vary by group.
