Hockey legend Mark Messier joined Boomer and Craig for a few minutes Tuesday morning to catch up with the boys and tell them all about his dream to bring a place to skate back to the Bronx.  More specifically, Messier would like to transform the Kingsbridge Armory into a community center/fitness and wellness center that would house about nine ice rinks and much more.

In addition to filling Boomer and Craig in on all of his plans, he praised the Rangers for locking up goalie Henrik Lundqvist to a long-term deal, going on to describe the net-minder (hockey term) as ‘everything you look for in a cornerstone player.’

Inevitably the competitive juices got flowing and all sorts of athletic challenges were issued, including a competitive game of curling with altered rules, before the ‘Messiah’ said goodbye…
