Box Truck Crushes SUV In Rt. 80 Accident
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - Emergency responders are on the scene of a significant wreck along Route 80 in Saddle Brook, N.J.
Footage from the scene shows a large white box truck facing the wrong direction near the exit for Saddle River Road.
An SUV can be seen crushed underneath the truck, near the truck's rear left wheel. The truck's wheel is off the ground, held up by the SUV below.
The wreck took place at around 3 p.m. Monday and forced lane closures along Rt. 80. Click here to check current traffic conditions.
Rescue workers labored to free the driver of the box truck, who was seen periodically moving his hands and arms. There's no word yet about the condition of the occupants of the SUV.
A Medevac helicopter rushed to the scene.
The incident took place directly beneath an overpass along Route 80.
It's not yet clear how the truck came to be on top of the SUV, facing the wrong direction.
