The 56th Annual GRAMMY Awards are going a little bit country next year. Two-time GRAMMY winner Merle Haggard and three-time GRAMMY winner (and 2014 Recording Academy Lifetime Achievement Award recipient) Kris Kristofferson will join forces with Willie Nelson, a seven-time GRAMMY winner, and current GRAMMY nominee Blake Shelton, who is up for Best Country Solo Performance (“Mine Would Be You”), Best Country Album (Based On A True Story…) and Best Country Song (“Mine Would Be You”).READ MORE: Georgia Man Arrested For 2020 Rape Of Woman Who Was Dragged Into Queens Alley
Country artists are well represented at the upcoming GRAMMY Awards. Kacey Musgraves is one of the nominees for the all-genre Best New Artist category alongside James Blake, Kendrick Lamar, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis and Ed Sheeran.
