Police: Bridgeport Woman Left 3 Children Home Alone

BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- A 35-year-old Bridgeport woman is accused of leaving her three children home alone while she went to a nightclub.

Mycheral Walker was charged with three counts of felony risk of injury to a minor on Sunday.  Walker has two daughters ages 1 and 4 and a 13-year-old son, police said.

According to authorities, Walker was arrested by officers based on their observations inside the home and statements by Walker and her son.

Connecticut law does not specify at what age a child can be left home alone to care for younger siblings.

Walker was released on a promise to appear in court Jan. 9.
