Dina Lohan Continues To Attend Substance Abuse Sessions Months After Arrest

HEMPSTEAD, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- A judge said actress Lindsay Lohan's mother is continuing to attend substance abuse counseling sessions following her September arrest on drunken driving charges.

Nassau County Court Judge Andrew Engel said at a court conference on Tuesday that 51-year-old Dina Lohan has finished half of her 12 counseling sessions.

Lohan attended the conference and did not comment as she left the court.

Lohan pleaded not guilty to DWI charges following her arrest on a Long Island highway.

She was stopped by police on the Northern State Parkway on Sept. 12, 2013 for allegedly driving 77 mph in a 55 mph zone, according to police.

A breath test revealed her blood alcohol concentration (BAC) to be .20 percent – more than twice the legal limit, police said.

The judge recommended in November that Lohan do community service, saying volunteer work could help her case. Her attorney, Mark Heller, indicated Tuesday that she has not started community service.
