Early Morning Shooting Leaves 1 Dead, 1 Critical In Midwood

NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- Police are investigating a shooting that left one person dead and another in critical condition on Saturday morning.

At 4:20 a.m., authorities responded to a report of shots fired at the corner of Ave I and East 16th Street in the Midwood section of Brooklyn.

A 23-year-old man had suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was pronounced dead at the scene. A 24-year-old had also suffered a gunshot wound and was listed in critical condition at Kings County Hospital, police said.

The shooting remains under investigation.
