
NEW JERSEY (CBSNewYork) — The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office announced charges Saturday against a New Jersey man who they say sexually assaulted a 10-year-old girl several years ago.
Kevin Van Mater, of Leonia, N.J., is charged with aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault, and endangering the welfare of a child.

A judge set bail at $500,000, without a ten percent option. Conditions of bail include no contact with the victim or her family and the surrender of Van Mater’s passport.
