NYPD Looks For 3 In Possible Anti-Gay Bias Attack At Astoria Diner
NEW YORK (CBSNewYorkAP) -- Police believe an altercation at a Queens diner earlier this month that left two people injured might have been a hate crime.
The NYPD is searching for three people in connection with the incident. Authorities say a man and a woman were in a diner on Astoria Boulevard in the Astoria neighborhood on Jan. 8 when they got into a verbal fight with other people who allegedly made anti-gay comments. They're looking to speak to a man and two women.
Police say the dispute escalated, and the man and the woman had plates thrown at them. They were taken to the hospital with lacerations on their heads.
