Police Investigating Deaths Of Woman, Two Children In Queens

The discovery of a 21-year-old woman and two little girls aged 3 and 1 inside of a Sutphin Boulevard apartment left neighbors stunned, CBS 2's Hazel Sanchez reported.

"I'm in total shock at this moment," neighbor Michael Morales said.

Police said that the woman identified by friends as Daisy Garcia and the two children were  found stabbed to death.

Garcia's friends rushed to the scene upon hearing the tragic news.

"Kind of a shock. Nobody really thought that would happen," Sarei Hernandez said.

Authorities told CBS 2 that they do not believe the deaths were part of a murder-suicide. No note was found on the scene.

Friends of Garcia said that she was a member of the Church of God in Jamaica and was regularly seen at services with her children. They struggled with the idea of anyone hurting or harming her or her family.

"She was always happy. She was with her two daughters so she was always happy," Hernandez said.

Police said that they were looking for a 2001 Chevrolet van with commercial plates.
