NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — A suspect was in custody Monday afternoon, after a man was slashed in an attempted robbery in Times Square.

Around 3:15 a.m., the 19-year-old victim was slashed during a robbery attempt at Seventh Avenue and 40th Street, police said.

He was taken to Bellevue Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A suspect was in custody after 4 p.m., sources told CBS 2. No charges had been issued.
