Darren Brown, 27, Charged In Connection With Fatal Staten Island Shooting

NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- A man has been charged in connection with the shooting deaths of two men on Staten Island.

Darren Brown, 27, was arrested on Wednesday, he was charged with two counts each of murder, attempted robbery, criminal possession of a weapon, and criminal use of a firearm.

Authorities alleged that Brown shot and killed Kenrick Gray, 34, and Noland Whistleton, 41, on Tuesday.

The men were discovered by police responding to a 911 call reporting a shooting on Park Hill Ave at 6:17 p.m. on Tuesday.

Gray had suffered a gunshot wound to the head and was taken to Richmond University Medical Center where he was pronounced dead. Whistleton had suffered gunshot wounds to the torso and leg and was taken to Staten Island University, he was also pronounced dead on arrival.
