Search On For Suspect In Alphabet City Burglary

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Monday were asking the public to help them find a suspect wanted in a burglary in Alphabet City earlier this month.

On Friday, Jan. 10, the suspect followed a woman into an apartment on Avenue C, police said.

He took a laptop computer, a cell phone and credit cards.

The suspect has long black hair and a mustache, police said.

Police have released a surveillance image of the suspect.

Anyone with information was asked to call the NYPD Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS, log onto the Crime Stoppers website, or text tips to 274637 (CRIMES) and enter TIP577.
