The 'Show About Nothing' Seems Like It Will Be Making Some Kind Of Return

NEW YORK (WFAN) — Oh, the intrigue!

Jerry Seinfeld appeared on WFAN’s “Boomer & Carton” show Thursday to talk some football, but the conversation eventually made its way to the speculation surrounding his being spotted with Jason Alexander outside Tom’s Restaurant earlier this month.

(Refresher, if you slept through the 1990s: Alexander played George Costanza in “Seinfeld” and the Tom’s facade was a fixture on the show.)

As CBS 2’s Dick Brennan reported, Seinfeld said they weren’t filming a commercial or an episode of “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee.” But he also said it’s “not not those things, either. It’s a secret project.”

“I gave you more now than I’ve given anyone,” Seinfeld said. “I told you what it isn’t. And then I also told you that it isn’t not that, either.”

Okay, we weren’t satisfied. Neither was Boomer & Carton producer Al Dukes, who somehow convinced Jerry, of Queens, to participate in a game of 20 questions.

Was it filmed?

“Yes it was. It was filmed.”

Were other Seinfeld characters involved?

“Yes there were.”

Was it a short-form or a long-form filming?

“It’s a short-ish form.”

Was Jason Alexander playing George or himself?

Was Larry David involved?

“He was involved.”

Was he on camera?

Was his voice heard?

When will we see this?

“Very, very soon.”

Was this a one-and-done or will there be more?

“I think it’s one-and-done.”

Is it longer than 60 seconds?

Was Jason surprised to get the phone call for this?

“No, he remembers that he played that character for many years. He was not surprised that he was asked to play George.”

This filming, was it all done at the table?

“No, there were other locations.”

Seinfeld’s apartment?

So there you have it. Sort of.
