Brooklyn Man Finds Engagement Ring In Bathroom Stall At Barclays Center

NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- A Brooklyn resident is looking for the man who left an engagement ring in a restroom stall at Barclays Center over the weekend.

The man who found the ring, Jorge Collazo, is holding the ring at his apartment in hopes of returning it to its would-be question popper.

Collazo said he found the three-stone diamond ring in its box in a bathroom stall during Marc Anthony's concert Saturday night.

"I hung around there a little bit to see if any man would rush in there," said Collazo, 63, told 1010 WINS' Sonia Rincon.

As CBS 2's Scott Rapoport reported, Collazo discovered the ring along with a note reading, in part: "My dear Daniela d'Andrea, on this day of February 15, 2014 I want to give you this ring as a symbol of my Love for you."

Collazo told WCBS 880's Marla Diamond part of the "heartfelt" note was written in Spanish.

"Pretty clearly that he is a Latino gentleman," Collazo said. "He's at Marc Anthony. He's going to propose to this girl."

If you believe the ring is yours, fill out the form below or email lostandfound@barclayscenter.com. Be prepared to answer some specific questions to prove you are the rightful owner.

"He's going have to a lot of 'splaining to do, Lucy," Collazo said.
