Brooklyn Ice Celebration Set For Monday In Prospect Park

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - The Olympic Games may be over, but a figure skating show featuring local children is slated to hit the ice on Monday.

Brooklyn Ice offers free uniforms, skates and instruction for students from Brooklyn. Many of the children come from underserved schools.

The completely free program is held at the rink in Prospect Park.

There are 40 students in the current program, which is funded through donations.

Registrants for next year's program has already been moved to the waiting list.

The participants will show off their short programs on Monday evening. Tickets are still available. For more information, click here.
