Wally Szczerbiak may have a very busy schedule covering the Knicks for MSG and NCAA basketball for CBS Sports, but he made time to stop by the Allstate Studio to chat with Boomer and Carton on Friday.

The conversation started with Szczerbiak giving a few explanations for why the Knicks’ season has gone so poorly, especially Wednesday night’s game against the Lakers. Szczerbiak also believes that the Phil Jackson hiring will have a positive effect not just on Carmelo Anthony, but on the entire team, and that Phil’s job may not be as difficult as people think it will be.

The conversation then shifted to the NCAA Tournament, which Szczerbiak has been covering on the CBS Sports Network’s postgame show throughout. Szczerbiak looks ahead to the remaining Sweet Sixteen games and the Elite Eight, and lets the guys know what they should expect for the rest of the tournament.
