Rex, Tannenbaum, Messier & More Play Ball For A Great Cause

NEW YORK (WFAN) — Jets coach Rex Ryan flashed the bat and the leather during Saturday’s Boomer & Carton vs. NYPD celebrity softball game.

But it wasn’t enough as the Team Boomer celeb squad lost to the First Precinct in walk-off fashion at Con-Ed Field in Manhattan.

Ryan, former Jets general manager Mike Tannenbaum, ex-NFL player Bart Scott, Rangers legend Mark Messier and American Idol alum Constantine Maroulis were among the big names in the lineup alongside WFAN’s Boomer & Carton staffers against the NYPD.

The game was played to benefit the PBA Widows and Children’s Fund.
