Man Severely Wounded In Shooting In St. Albans, Queens Park
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police were investigating Saturday evening after a man was shot and severely wounded in St. Albans, Queens.
The FDNY was dispatched shortly after 3 p.m. to Roy Wilkins Park, off Baisley Boulevard near 177th Street in Queens. Police and first responders found the 24-year-old man lying with a gunshot to the head near basketball and tennis courts.
The victim was rushed to Jamaica Hospital Center in cardiac arrest, according to the FDNY.
No one had been arrested in the shooting as of Saturday evening. There was no word on a motive.
