Rangers center Brian Boyle took a break from his Eastern Conference finals preparation to chat with Boomer and Craig about the Blueshirts’ matchup with the Montreal Canadiens, which will get underway Saturday afternoon.

Considering Boyle talked mostly hockey when he joined the guys, I guess he technically wasn’t taking a break from preparing — rather he was keeping his head in the game.

In addition to looking ahead, Boyle also reflected on the Rangers’ emotional series win over the Penguins, and responded the only way he really could when Craig asked him about Sidney Crosby.

“He’s got a little edge to him,” Boyle said after a long pause. “That’s as far as I can go.”

Boyle also reminded us that Boomer threw more than a couple of interceptions during his playing days.
