NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) — Blood was splattered on a Manhattan sidewalk after police say a hit-and-run driver jumped a curb, injuring two pedestrians.
Police told 1010 WINS the driver of a red Dodge Durango first hit a person, then slammed into a pole at a bust stop. The pole fell over and struck a second pedestrian.READ MORE: Brian Laundrie's Remains Found In Florida Nature Reserve, Officials Say
The Saturday morning accident at Tenth Avenue and 34th Street left a 44-year-old woman in serious condition and a 40-year-old man in critical condition with non life-threatening injuries at Bellevue Medical Center.

Police said the driver ran from the scene. He was described as a man in his 30s.
