PSEG Long Island Customers To See Decrease In Monthly Power Bill

NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- In the past eight months PSEG Long Island customers have seen increase after increase in their monthly bills because of power supply charges.

Finally in the month of June, customers can expect to see a 20 percent decrease.

"The delivery charge is fixed and we committed, PSEG Long Island to keep the rates stable through 2015. So the power supply charge is what's adjustable and what changes. It can be volatile depending on outside influences and circumstances," spokesman Jeff Weir said.

Customers will save an average of $16, WCBS 880's Sophia Hall reported.
