LINDENWOLD, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Numerous charges have been filed against a southern New Jersey man who allegedly showed up stark naked in a condominium complex, punched a police officer and tried to driver off in his cruiser.

Lindenwold police said the officer was interviewing two people in a condominium complex Tuesday night when 28-year-old borough resident Byron Neville ran up and punched him in the face. The officer tried to arrest Neville, but he broke free and jumped into the officer's car.

Another officer soon arrived and Neville was removed from the car. He then broke free and ran off, but was captured after a short foot pursuit.

Believing Neville was under the influence of drugs, he was taken to a hospital for an evaluation.

Neville faces several charges, carjacking and aggravated assault. Bail was set at $200,000.
