Family, Friends Bid Final Farewell To 21-Year-Old Sarah Goode

MEDFORD, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- Family and friends gathered Thursday to bid a final farewell to a young mother whose body was found on Long Island last week.

A funeral mass for 21-year-old Sarah Goode was held at St. Sylvester Catholic Church in Medford.

Goode was last seen on June 6 at a friend's house in Shirley. Her body was found last Thursday in a wooded area about a half-mile away from her abandoned car. Sources said there were apparent signs of a struggle inside her car. One witness also said there appeared to be blood in Goode's vehicle.

Police said she was the victim of a homicide, but have not released the cause of death.

No arrests have been made.

Goode, who has a 4-year-old daughter, was a medical technician.
