STAMFORD, Conn. (CBSNewYork) — A now-suspended Stamford High School teacher is being held on $100,000 bond after allegedly engaging in a sexual relationship with a student and threatening him when he tried to end it.
Police say 32-year-old English teacher Danielle Watkins not only had a sexual relationship with an 18-year-old student, but supplied him and a friend with marijuana. The second victim, 15 and another one of Watkins’ students, admitted to police that he had also smoked marijuana with Watkins.
Stamford Police Captain Richard Conklin told WCBS 880’s Connecticut Bureau Chief Fran Schneidau that when police arrested Watkins at her home in Norwalk, they discovered evidence of the sexual relationship on her cell phone.
