Three People Killed In Multi-Vehicle Crash In Freehold, N.J.
FREEHOLD, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Three people were killed Tuesday afternoon in a three-vehicle crash in Freehold, N.J.
As Joe Biermann reported from Chopper 2, the accident occurred on the Kozloski Road overpass over Route 33 Business at 3:47 p.m. Tuesday.
As CBS 2's Tracee Carrasco reported, investigators spent several hours clearing away the scene after that deadly accident.

The deceased included a 50-year-old man driving a 2006 Honda Pilot, a 19-year-old man driving a 2009 Volkswagen Jetta, and a 20-year-old woman who was a passenger in the Jetta, Monmouth County First Assistant Prosecutor Marc LeMieux said at a Tuesday evening news conference.
A 25-year-old man in a 1994 Toyota Camry was reported in "extremely critical condition" and was airlifted to an area hospital, LeMieux said.
The Jetta was in the southbound lane of the road when it veered into the northbound lane and hit the Pilot head on, LeMieux said. The Pilot went airborne and landed on top of the Camry.
"The one car was half gone -- there was nothing left to it, except from the windshield back," said witness Kristi Munis, who saw the impact from her home. "They did get one person out of the car and they Medevaced them. The helicopter landed right here in the field."
The exact circumstances of the accident remained unclear late Tuesday.
"I don't know if we're ever going to know for sure, but you know, that's why we're hoping that maybe other people that may have seen this car coming up the roadway, they may have some information," LeMieux said.
As WCBS 880's Jim Smith reported, firefighters put up a blue tarp at the scene to hide their grim task from the public.
"It's just sad. It's horrible. It's like something in a movie," one woman said.
A man named Chris drives a school bus in the area, and said the roads where the accident happened see dangerous speeds.
"It opens up, and right here, everybody starts to speed up again, and they're all hitting 55 after doing, like, 45 right down the street," he said.
Other residents agreed the road was dangerous.
"It's a pretty fast road and it's pretty much open, and there are no barriers so everyone pretty much goes pretty fast on this road," said Freehold resident Joanne Rodriguez.
