Police: Woman Came Up To Man's LES Hotel Room, Stole His Property

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Tuesday were asking the public to help them find a woman who allegedly stole a man's camera, laptop and wallet after he invited her up to his hotel room on the Lower East Side.

Police said the theft happened around 4 a.m. Monday, Aug. 11, at the Sixty LES Hotel, 190 Allen St.

The 29-year-old man invited the woman up to his room, police said. When he woke up the next morning, he found his camera, laptop, and wallet with credit cards and money were gone, police said.

The suspect was described as a black female between the ages of 20 and 35, standing about 5 feet 3 inches tall and weighing about 170 pounds. She was last seen wearing a green top and black pants.

Police have released surveillance photos of the suspect.
