Motorcyclist Killed In Crash On Stony Brook University Hospital Campus

STONY BROOK, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- Suffolk County police say a motorcyclist was killed in a crash with another vehicle Friday morning on the Hospital campus of Stony Brook University.

According to police, 36-year-old Jason Ross was riding a motorcycle on Health Sciences Drive near Stony Brook University Hospital when he crashed into another car at around 8 a.m.

Ross, of West Babylon, was taken to Stony Brook University Hospital where he was pronounced dead. The driver of the other vehicle was not injured, police said.

Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks and the investigation is ongoing, police said.
