Police Seek Man In Groping Attack On Girl, 15, In Queens Elevator

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police have released a photo of a man who they said groped a 15-year-old girl inside the elevator of her Queens apartment building.

The incident occurred around 9:20 p.m. on Aug. 13 in a building near the corner of 70th Street and Northern Boulevard in Jackson Heights.

The suspect followed the victim into her building's elevator and grabbed her buttocks and breast before fleeing, police said.

Police described the suspect as an Asian man in his late teens to early 20s and approximately 135 pounds. He was last seen wearing a grey shirt and blue shorts.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477). The public can also submit their tips to the Crime Stoppers website or by texting their tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then enter TIP577.
