Police: Man Molested 2 Women In Queens Center Mall

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police released a new surveillance video Wednesday of a suspect they believe grabbed and groped two women in the Queens Center Mall last week.

Around 3 p.m. this past Thursday, the man went up to a 24-year-old woman working at a clothing store at the mall, located at 90-15 Queens Blvd. in Elmhurst, Queens.

The suspect put his hand on the woman's legs and grabbed her genital area over her clothes, police said.

He ran off, but about five minutes later, he came up to a 34-year-old woman from behind in the mall, police said. He put his arms around her waist and began rubbing his crotch on her buttocks over her clothes, police said.

The suspect then left.

Police described the suspect as a male Hispanic about 30 to 35 years old, standing about 6 feet 1 inch tall and weighing 200 to 230 pounds with dark hair. He was last seen wearing a blue varsity jacket with red sleeves, black sunglasses, dark jeans, white sneakers, a black baseball hat, and a white scarf and he was carrying a briefcase, police said.

Police have released two surveillance clips.

Anyone with information was asked to call the NYPD Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS, log onto the Crime Stoppers website, or text tips to 274637 (CRIMES) and enter TIP577.
