Police: Man Put Head Under Woman's Skirt, Attacked Her In Brooklyn Subway Station

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Thursday were asking the public for help in finding a suspect who allegedly buried his head under a woman's skirt in a Brooklyn subway station, and then attacked her when she pushed him away.

The incident happened around 10 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 8. The 32-year-old woman was walking up the stairs leading out of the DeKalb Avenue B, D, N, Q and R train station in downtown Brooklyn when the suspect put his head under her skirt, police said.

The woman tried to push her away, prompting the suspect to throw her down the stairs and begin punching and kicking her, police said.

The suspect then ran off.

The woman suffered bruises and was hospitalized, police said.

The suspect was described as a black male about 60 years old, standing about 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighing about 160 pounds, with brown eyes.

Police have released an image of a suspect.
