Quick Thinking Cop Saves Woman From Choking On The Bronx River Parkway

NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- A police officer saved a driver's life on the Bronx River Parkway on Wednesday.

Officer Gregory Zakoscielny noticed the driver pulled over on the side of the road and got out of his squad car to see what was going on.

Within seconds Officer Zakoscielny realized the woman was choking. He performed the Heimlich maneuver and was able to dislodge a throat lozenge that had been caught in the 49-year-old woman's throat.
