Police: Livery Cab Driver Brutally Attacked Following Argument With Passenger In Queens

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The NYPD has asked the public for help in locating a man wanted in connection with a violent livery cab robbery that took place in Queens.

Just after 1 a.m. on Thursday morning, a livery cab was dispatched to Hemlock Street and Jamaica Avenue in the Cypress Hills section of Brooklyn.

The suspect, identified as Kenneth Suden, 41, entered the cab and asked the driver to take him to 68-16 60th St. in Ridgewood, Queens. While the cab was in the vicinity of 60-19 70th Ave., an argument occurred and the driver, a 30-year-old man, was stabbed multiple times in the torso, arm, and hands, according to police.

The suspect then sped off in the vehicle, a gray 2012 Toyota Camry with the license plate number T634876C, police said.

The victim was discovered at the scene of the altercation and taken to Elmhurst General Hospital in critical but stable condition.

Suden, of Queens, has been described as 5'7" 180-lbs.
