NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) — Two people were struck and injured within one block around the same time Tuesday evening in unrelated incidents in Hell’s Kitchen.

Around 5:30 p.m., a woman was struck at Tenth Avenue and 54th Street, authorities told CBS 2. The woman suffered minor injuries and was checked out at the scene, but was not hospitalized.

The driver of the black vehicle that struck the woman remained at the scene, authorities said.

Another pedestrian was struck by a white van at Tenth Avenue and 55th Street around the same time, authorities said. The driver also remained at the scene.

The pedestrian was not in the crosswalk, and suffered serious head trauma, authorities said.
