NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) — It was the typical Wednesday morning rush at ‘Bagels For You’ on Queens Boulevard in Forest Hills, until a white delivery truck barreled into the front of the busy bagel shop where customers were sitting.

CBS 2 exclusive video showed the horrific crash in progress.

In the video, some jumps out of the way as the truck barrels into the building. Seconds after the accident, people rushed to help.

They appeared to lift up a refrigerator, which witnesses said fell on a woman. The incident left six people with minor injuries, one of whom was an infant.

A bodega owner one door down from the shop ran outside after he heard and felt the truck hit the building.

“Suddenly, I hear a bomb blasting sound and the building was shaking,” Shahabuddin Sikber told CBS 2’s Tracee Carrasco.

The unidentified truck driver also sideswiped a parked car before it crashed into the eatery.

On Thursday, the bagel shop was boarded up with “do not enter” signs posted by the city. The inside of the shop was still littered with glass and debris.

The mess was still manageable even after such a big crash.

Police sources told CBS 2 that the delivery truck driver accidentally hit the gas instead of the brakes. As of right now he is not facing any criminal charges.
