CBSNewYork.com: Amanda Bynes Makes Shocking Sex Allegations Against Her Father On Twitter

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork.com) - Actress Amanda Bynes, who previous brushes with the law raised questions about substance abuse and her mental health, purportedly took to Twitter Friday to accuse her father of sexually propositioning her.

Later, though, Bynes appeared to recant her previous messages, while offering an unusual reason for posting them.

Bynes' apparent Tweets come the same day the New York Daily News published a video that purports to show her behaving questionably in an Upper East Side clothing store.

In a separate case, a judge dismissed charges against Bynes in June of this year related to an alleged "bong tossing" incident. Bynes had been charged in 2013 with reckless endangerment and and marijuana possession for allegedly smoking pot in the lobby of her Manhattan apartment building and throwing a bong out of her window when police arrived.

Bynes was hospitalized for a mental health evaluation in July of 2013 after she allegedly started a small fire in the driveway of a Southern California home.

TMZ reported late Friday that Bynes was placed under an involuntary psychiatric hold upon returning to Los Angeles in the evening.
