CHARLOTTE, N.C. (CBSNewYork/AP) – A US Airways spokesman says a flight from New York’s LaGuardia Airport safely made an emergency landing at its scheduled destination in Charlotte after oxygen masks deployed in the final minutes amid indications of a pressurization issue.

Spokesman Matt Miller tells The Associated Press none of the 146 passengers and five crew were hurt. He says US Airways flight 745 reported the pressure issue “well into” its descent into Charlotte Douglas International Airport shortly before 7 p.m. Saturday.

“The masks were deployed. I don’t know how many passengers used them,” Miller says.

He added that the Airbus A320, which left New York shortly before 5 p.m. Saturday taxied to the gate on its own to be checked by maintenance crews. He had no immediate information whether an actual problem was detected.
