LISTEN: WFAN's Benigno Goes Ballistic On Kyle Wilson, Jets
NEW YORK (WFAN) -- Oh the pain!
WFAN co-host Joe Benigno has been going off on the Jets all season long -- and one player in particular got the brunt of it following Sunday's 31-17 loss to Denver.
"Freakin' disgrace, that's what they are, the Jets," Benigno said Monday. "They're a disgrace. And Kyle Wilson should be cut today! God! Get rid of this guy!
"He stinks! STINKS!"
That's how underwhelming the former first-round pick has been. New York's secondary is a mess. Cornerback Dee Milliner may be done for the year. And Benigno wants Wilson on the first bus out of town.
What set him off? Wilson -- with only three interceptions in five pro seasons and none since 2012 -- botched a surefire pick from Peyton Manning in the third quarter. It could have been a momentum-changer.
But, nope.
"Kyle Wilson makes Vernon Gholston almost look like an NFL player," an angry Benigno said.
