2 Suspects Wanted In String Of Robberies On F Train In Queens

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Monday were seeking two suspects in a string of robberies on the F Train in Jamaica, Queens.

The robberies happened between Sept. 2 and Oct. 8, both on trains and in subway stations.

The first robbery happened around 4:10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 2, at the 169th Street F Train station. A 23-year-old man was walking up the stairs at the station when two suspects threw him to the ground, punched him in the face, and took his wallet from his back pocket, police said.

The suspects then ran off, police said.

Around 9 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30, a 30-year-old man was on an outbound F Train when he was approached by two men, police said. One of the men punched him in the face and demanded his iPad, police said.

The victim got off the train at the Sutphin Boulevard station and the suspects followed him, but ran off without getting the iPad, police said.

And around 1:40 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 8, a 33-year-old man was sitting on an inbound F Train as it stopped at Parsons Boulevard. A man ripped off the victim's cellphone and ran off, police said.

The victim chased the suspect, but another man punched him in the face, police said.

The suspects were only described as two male Hispanics in their 20s. Police have released a surveillance video.
