11/1 CBS2 Morning Weather Update
By Giorgio Panetta, CBS 2 Chief Meteorologist/Weather Producer
November really starts off on a less-than-ideal fall day -- it's going to a damp and chilly. On-and-off showers will plague us today, and a still easterly wind off the ocean will make it a day for a sweatshirt AND a waterproof jacket.
Temps take a healthy dip down near the freezing mark, or even below, north and west of the city by Sunday morning. Marathoners -- bundle up in the morning. With a northwest wind gusting to 40 mph, it's going to feel like the upper 20s running across the Verrazano. Temps warm into the upper 40s and only the lower 50s by sunset.
Monday is a great start to a milder workweek. We'll top out near 60. We warm things even further on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Check back for a breakdown on the weekend planner!
