Report: Stripper Was Offered A 'Huge Tip' To Take Off Geno Smith Costume

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- It's really gotten bad for the Jets, and -- more specifically -- for Geno Smith.

Gang Green has lost eight straight games and the second-year quarterback has been benched. And now, he's being disrespected at local strip clubs. Well, just one strip club that we know of.

At a recent Halloween show at Vivid Cabaret on W. 37th St in Manhattan, a dancer named Kimmie was dressed as the Jets' signal-caller. According to the New York Daily News, her costume was not met with much praise.

"I like Geno and the Jets, and I had his jersey and a Jets helmet as my costume," she said in a statement, according to Busted Coverage. "But when people saw my outfit they were telling me how bad Geno is and (were) making fun of him and the Jets."

Ouch.

Other dancers were dressed as famous local athletes, according to the newspaper. There was a Derek Jeter, a Carmelo Anthony and even a Masahiro Tanaka.

Those athletes didn't seem to bother anybody, but one patron was so disgusted by the Smith jersey that he reportedly offered Kimmie extra money to take it off.

"A Wall Street guy seated in the VIP Ultra Lounge said he would give me a huge tip if I took off the Geno Smith costume, which I did," Kimmie said, according to Busted Coverage  "But he meant not to put it back on. He gave me more money to select a new costume, so I spent the rest of the night wearing and stripping out of a schoolgirl outfit."

And then Kimmie delivered the ultimate blow.

"I feel bad for the Jets playing so bad, and I have to admit Geno Smith hasn't done well," she said, according to the website. "What number is Matt Simms?"

Smith is looking less and less like the franchise quarterback of the Jets. In a season in which he was expected to cement himself as the leader of the offense, he's taken a major step back. The 24-year-old has thrown seven touchdowns to 10 interceptions and fumbled three times.

Michael Vick will start for New York against the Steelers on Sunday.
