Jason Pierre-Paul Questions Giants' 'Heart' Ahead Of Seahawks Matchup

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- You've gotta have heart.

Unfortunately, that's "missing from a lot of guys" in the New York Giants locker room, according to defensive end Jason Pierre Paul.

"It's not all about attitude, it's all about heart," Pierre-Paul told reporters Thursday, according to Newsday. "You can have the attitude, you can have the swagger, you can talk. It's all about heart, and if you don't have no heart to play this game, then you're going to continue losing."

PALLADINO: BIG BLUE LOOKING SMALL

His comments followed safety Antrel Rolle's plea to teammates earlier this week on WFAN radio. While Rolle spoke of "passion," Pierre-Paul questioned his team's pulse.

"Maybe I'm wrong, but at the end of the day, I know what it takes to play this game, and you have to have heart," Pierre-Paul said. "A lot of guys don't have it. I can sit here and tell you we all do, but we don't."

TALE OF THE TAPE: GIANTS-SEAHAWKS

Whatever the issue, the Giants (3-5) need to get it together ASAP. A road win over the champion Seattle Seahawks on Sunday wouldn't just end a three-game losing streak -- it could give the team some much-needed optimism ahead of tough matchups against San Francisco and rival Dallas.

"We can't lose no more," said Pierre-Paul, who acknowledged room for improvement in all three phases of the game. "Everybody knows it. We can't lose no more, otherwise we're just going to be coming in here to play the game and get a check. And I don't want that."
