Flags Placed In Madison Square Park In Preparation For Veterans Day
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – Preparations are underway for Veterans Day to honor those who have served in the U.S. armed forces.
Flags were placed around the Eternal Light memorial in Madison Square Park, which was erected on Nov. 11, 1923, to honor Army and Navy troops from WWI.
The city's official Veteran's Day commemoration begins at the park at 10 a.m. on Tuesday with a wreath-laying.
