Antrel Rolle Talks Giants Loss On WFAN, Then Takes Fight To Twitter

NEW YORK (WFAN) -- Antrel Rolle believes the New York Giants played with passion -- something that he said had been lacking -- and purpose in Seattle on Sunday.

But the results still weren't there.

It all fell apart for the Giants in the second half, as the Seahawks overcame a 17-14 halftime deficit to score 24 unanswered points en route to a 38-17 win. Seattle had a franchise-record 350 rushing yards, which Rolle attributed to "a lot of confusion on the defensive side of the ball."

"It's up (to) the players. If you don't understand something, you make sure you get with the coaches so you can understand," Rolle told WFAN's Joe Benigno and Evan Roberts on Tuesday. "And if the coaches, you know, if you don't see a player doing something the right way, it's up to the coaches to make sure that the player understands his assignments so he can get it done right."

The outspoken safety said it's never his intention to finger-point or "put anyone on blast."

"We're together. We're never going to blame one another," Rolle said. "We win together, we lose together. That's who we are. Right now, we're just trying to weather the storm and trying to find a way to dig ourselves up out of this hole that we have dug for ourselves."

The loss -- New York's fourth straight -- put the Giants at 3-6. Their playoff hopes are fading fast in the competitive NFC, and a matchup against the San Francisco 49ers looms next.

"I don't see why we can't go out there and play ball," Rolle said. "At this point in time, you have to not even pay attention to the record. You can't pay attention to what has taken place. You have to just keep fighting, you know what I mean? That's the only think I know how to do."

"That's the mentality that you have to have," he added. "You can't worry about your own personal stats, you can't worry about anything outside of just going out there and fighting, giving it all you've got."

He channeled some of that fight on Twitter after his weekly spot, engaging with a fan who wasn't too thrilled with what Rolle had to say:
