11/18 CBS2 Tuesday Evening Weather Headlines

By Giorgio Panetta, CBS 2 Chief Meteorologist/Weather Producer

Good evening all,

Today was a fast-forward to the dead of winter. Although technically, we hit 45 degrees just after midnight, we have been below freezing on the thermometer since 6 a.m. Today was just plain cold, people!

Winds have been the big culprit. They have driving steadily out of the northwest all day. They have not really let up yet either, and gusts have been up to 35 mph.

Tonight will continue the cold plummet. Waking up tomorrow will be a little taste of Siberia with temps from 10-20 degrees waking up.

Pair that with a thankfully diminished wind (10-15 instead of 25) and we're feeling anywhere from 0 to 10 degrees.

The good news is that it's the last brutal day.

How warm will we get by this weekend? Check back in later for a milder update.
