Police: Suspect Robbed Long Island Dunkin' Donuts At Knifepoint

FARMINGDALE, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- Police were searching for a suspect Friday, after a Dunkin' Donuts in Farmingdale, Long Island was robbed at knifepoint.

Nassau County police said a man walked into the Dunkin' Donuts at 575 Fulton St. in Farmingdale, pulled out a knife, and demanded money.

When the male cashier did not immediately comply, the suspect walked behind the counter and demanded money a second time, police said.

The victim then opened the register and the suspect took an undisclosed amount of cash, police said. The suspect ran off and was last seen running north on Fulton Street.

The victim, who was not injured, described the suspect as being a white male in his 20s, standing 6 feet tall with a medium build. He was wearing baggy sweat pants, a dark-colored hoodie, and dark sunglasses, police said.
