Nassau County Jail Affirmative Action Officer Hit With Discrimination Complaint

EAST MEADOW, N.Y. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- The Nassau correction union has filed a federal discrimination complaint against the county jail affirmative action specialist whose Facebook posts have enraged the officers.

The complaint was filed with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission against Andreaus Guilty, a rap artist who is an affirmative action officer at East Meadow Jail. His duties include investigating discrimination complaints.

On Monday, more than 100 correction officers demonstrated outside the jail, demanding his ouster and chanting "Guilty must go."

They object to Facebook posts which they say are racist and anti-law enforcement, 1010 WINS' Mona Rivera reported.

Among the postings, Guilty allegedly accuses police of "ethnic cleansing.''

Nassau Correction Officers Benevolent Association head John Jaronczyk calls the postings inappropriate.

"All his posts have racial tones to them," Jaronczyk  told Rivera. "He should be removed immediately from this post and we're not going to accept anything less than that."

County attorney Carnell Foskey told Newsday while everyone has the right to post whatever they want on their personal Facebook, his office will investigate the matter.

Guilty has denied being racist, Rivera reported.
