Kenney unleashed an all-time Twitter tirade on Sunday night after New Jersey Governor Chris Christie was spotted rooting on the Dallas Cowboys in team owner Jerry Jones’ box. Dallas beat the Eagles 38-27 in Philly for the top spot in the NFC East.
Kenney didn’t take very well to the exposure given to Christie — a lifelong Cowboys fan who many expect to make a run at the White House in 2016 — on national television:READ MORE: Many New Yorkers Canceling, Scaling Back Halloween Festivities Due To COVID Concerns
Kenney’s comments came days after former Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell — also a Democrat — said during a radio interview that the Republican’s choice in NFL teams “indicates a basic inferiority complex.”
“How can a Jersey guy be a Cowboys fan? It’s pathetic,” Rendell said.
